Luggage Policy

1. Each passenger is allowed to carry 1 handbag (cabin bag) and 1 large luggage item.
2. Extra luggage is chargeable. Charges are based on dimensions:
   1. Up to 1ft x 1ft x 1ft: ₹300 per luggage.
   2. Up to 2ft x 2ft x 2ft (cartons/gunny sacks/polypropylene bags): ₹500 per luggage.
3. Passengers are advised not to carry valuables in their checked-in luggage.

Prohibited Items

1. Alcohol, narcotics, flammable substances, weapons, gas cylinders, explosives, chemicals.
2. Animals, birds, insects, meat, fish, or items with foul odour.
3. Dead bodies, forest products (horns, bones, fur, etc.) without license.

Violation of this policy will result in deboarding without refund and may invite legal action.

Boarding & Reporting Time

1. Passengers must report at the boarding point at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
2. At many pickup points, traffic authorities prohibit buses from stopping for more than 5 minutes.
3. Buses will depart on schedule. Passengers who arrive late will be marked as ‘No Show’ and will not be eligible for a refund.

Washroom Usage

1. Washrooms (where available) remain closed when:
   1. The bus is stationary or within city limits.
   2. The bus is on mountain roads or ghats.
2. Washrooms are for urinary use only. Misuse will lead to penalties payable to on-board staff.

Food & Cleanliness

1. Consumption of food and drinks is not allowed onboard to maintain hygiene and prevent choking hazards.
2. Passengers are encouraged to use rest stops for meals and refreshments.

Communication & Alerts

1. Passengers may be contacted via call, SMS, email, or WhatsApp for journey-related updates.
2. It is highly recommended to subscribe to WhatsApp journey alerts to avoid missing important notifications like bus arrival, delays, or boarding instructions.
3. Personal contact details are kept private as per our data protection policy.

Traveling with Minors

1. Children aged 5 years and above must have a separate ticket.
2. One child under 5 years (height under 3.5 ft) can share a berth with an adult.
3. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

Passenger Seating & Behavior

1. Passengers must occupy only their designated seats/berths.
2. Seating arrangements must comply with government gender-based rules for sleeper coaches.
3. Harassment or argument with staff over seating or policies will lead to deboarding.
4. Misuse of bus space, tampering with fittings, or abusive conduct may result in penalties or denial of travel without refund.

Refunds, Delays & Claims

1. Refunds are not applicable for delays under 2 hours.
2. In case of journey not undertaken due to genuine delays, a TDR (ticket deposit request) must be filed through the app.
3. Refunds are not applicable for No-Show passengers or those deboarded due to policy violations.
4. Claims regarding pilferage or damaged bags must be raised within 6 hours of journey completion.
5. Bags should be properly locked and wrapped.

CONTACTING BUS CREW

1. For passenger safety reasons, the company’s policy of not sharing the driver’s phone number to discourage them from using their mobile while driving.
2. You can instead connect to the right Bus Captain on your bus or talk with the call center executive by calling the number given on the e-ticket.

DRUGS OR ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION / INFLUENCE

1. You will not travel on IntrCity SmartBus under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
2. You will not consume any alcohol/drugs or carry any alcohol on the bus.
3. Any violation of this company policy can result in deboarding from the bus with no booking refund.

CASH REFUND

Our bus staff do not carry any cash along with them. All refund processing will be done through the central office.

SERVICE BREAKDOWN
